Gypsum Public Library | Gypsum, Colorado

The Gypsum Library is a welcome addition to the Town of Gypsum as it reflects the Western character of the community. The library includes a community room, fiction and non-fiction sections, teen room, children’s room and a silo story time room. Several different green building techniques were used, including the lighting system that utilizes day lit spaces for energy efficiency. The interior has a polished concrete floor, custom made cabinetry and office desks, and two custom made reception desks. The building exterior is a combination of cement siding and corrugated metal siding.

We wanted a library that would fit into the small town character of our community. We wanted it to be functional and beautiful and fit within our budget. Our Team that included R.A. Nelson helped us achieve that goal. That created a library we could be proud of. Thank you R.A. Nelson!
