With a background in accounting and project coordination, Allison’s attention to detail ensures accuracy and the highest level of organization and compliance. In her role as CFO, Allison manages a highly competent accounting and administrative team, and is vigilant in making sure that the financial objectives of the client and the company are aligned. Allison is an expert in the design-build process and is currently building her new family home on a ranch property in Basalt.

With a degree in both statistics and architectural engineering, Barry is able to manage jobs from a broad and unique perspective. His real passion though is getting dirty and figuring out the nuts and bolts of a project. He takes great pride in his undertakings, treats people fairly, and always strives to be an integral part of creating his clients’ dreams. He truly knows how to build collaborative, long lasting relationships that lead to successful and enjoyable projects. And none of that is surprising: as an endurance athlete in his free time, Barry understands the commitment and dedication that is required for the long haul. Barry has two children and lives in Gypsum with his wife, an architect. He is an endurance athlete and competitive mountain biker.

With a Construction Management Degree from Colorado State University and extensive complex project experience, Colton brings the knowledge to help every team succeed. Colton is a master of the details and is a great communicator, ensuring that the owner is up-to-speed on all aspects of the project. A proactive problem solver, Colton addresses issues head-on, developing thoughtful solutions with the team. Having started as a Project Manager, Colton understands the project needs on every level and helps maintain cohesion between the field and office teams. Colton is a natural fit for any project team. Colton and his wife Chrissy live in Basalt with their dog Sage. They love backcountry hunting and fishing trips together.

Erik was the recipient of the full-ride Guardian Scholarship and graduated from Mesa State University with a degree in Construction Management. He is fluent in Spanish, and his easy-going manner is affective in creating productive work environments and trusted relationships with clients and subcontractors. His advanced knowledge of technology allows him to fully utilizes our “tools of the trade” software programs to manage all aspects of the building process. Erik has a strong work ethic and was named 2020 Young Professional of the Year by Vail Valley Partnership. Erik is dedicated to both our clients and our community. He continues to give back and coaches youth soccer at the Vail Valley Soccer Club, Vail Recreation District, and Youth Power 365. Erik is a board member of the Cycle Effect, Eagle River Scholarship Fund, La Liga Vail Valley and the Guardian Scholars.

A Colorado Native, Jason’s interest in construction began at a young age while watching his father build multiple homes over the years. After pursuing his Construction management degree from Colorado State University, Jason headed up to the Vail Valley where he excelled at his role in preconstruction services. From value engineering options for affordable housing to high-end custom homes, Jason brings both academic and hands-on experience to continue to help separate RA Nelson as an exceptional builder in the Western Slope. His success in RA Nelson’s Preconstruction Department is a testament to his skillful forethought of all aspects of a project, his attention to detail, and his ability to provide support to the project team throughout construction. These traits he now implements in his role as President.

Jeff’s experience as a Project Manager and General Superintendent, complemented by his academic background, provides him the ability to excel in both the field and in the office. As Director of Custom Homes in the Vail Valley Region, Jeff has successfully completed many complex projects and is known for his organization and ability to communicate efficiently with everyone involved on a job. His proven ability to coordinate complex operations makes for hassle-free experience for all involved. Jeff’s team-oriented project planning and execution results in high quality projects that are delivered on-time and on-budget. Jeff is well-versed in operations, contract management and scheduling. Jeff lives in Eagle with his wife and son. He loves to fish and travel, ideally both at once.
John Halloran

With over two decades in the construction industry leading multi-million dollar projects in a variety of roles, John is a huge asset to the project team. He is a team leader with an even temperament. John’s greatest strength lies in his ability to bring teams together and have fun in the construction process. As a true collaborator, he makes decisions that are fair after hearing input from each person on the team. Fluent in Spanish, John is able to effectively communicate with everyone on the construction site. His long list of repeat clients is proof of his work: John is known for building a high quality product and turning it over to clients on budget and on time. John started the EagleVail Turkey Trot to benefit YouthPower365, in addition to volunteering for the Eagle River Fire Protection District and the EagleVail Design Review Board.
Kris Myers
Project Manager
With over 25 years of building experience, Kris knows how to implement and complete complex projects of any size. His ability to communicate with owners and designers helps facilitate proactive choices in challenging situations, while his teamwork approach empowers subcontractors to work together to produce a consistently higher quality project. Kris’s past experience with resort and residential developments in a variety of regions allows him to understand the “ins and outs” of various local building codes and requirements, making him an invaluable asset to the team. Kris grew up surfing in Florida. After discovering snowboarding on a trip to Colorado, Kris moved to Colorado two weeks after college and has never looked back.
Matt Lamm
Project Manager
Matt brings over 20 years of experience of owner’s representative and construction management experience in Colorado, including real estate development, residential and commercial construction. His diverse background provides effective leadership from planning and design through construction and close out to deliver a successful project. Communication is Matt’s strength: as the main point of contact, Matt is responsive and thorough in his approach. In his role as Project Manager, Matt will handle subcontractor buyout, insurance compliance, applications for payment, Owner/Architect/Subcontractor (OAC) meetings, and submittal coordination for review. Matt first skied Aspen on a cross country bus trip with his high school in Marietta, Georgia, and was inspired to make the move permanently a few years later. Matt lives in Basalt with his wife and daughter.
Paul Burbidge

Paul was raised in a construction-minded family. During his 51-year career, he’s acquired an extensive and diverse project portfolio, making him a valuable asset for RA Nelson. Paul has been responsible for the coordination and performance of all field operations on several multi-million dollar
projects, including educational, medical, and mixed-use facilities. He champions strong, talented teams by creating outstanding relationships with all members of the project and quickly earns the respect of all co-workers and subcontractors with his exceptional communication skills. On the site, Paul oversees the total construction effort with great attention to detail, ensuring the project is completed in accordance with design, budget, and schedule. Additionally, Paul the company Fleet Manager. In his free time, Paul loves to explore the trails around western slope on his side-by-side with his wife and silver lab, Lea.
Ryan LaVire

Ryan’s experience in financial modeling and business valuation techniques, along with a degree in architecture, comprise a unique background that allows him to provide clients with an integrated approach to the building process. He guides the estimating team with his detail-oriented and strategic approach. Ryan is capable of working with architects on Building Information Models or building them on his own. As an expert with Revit, he is able to provide more accurate estimates, clash detection and design visualization for clients. Ryan lives in Eagle with his wife and two daughters. He grew up helping his mom remodel rental units and working for a custom cabinet shop.
Tim Carpenter
Director of Upper Basin Excavating
With a long background in Preconstruction, Tim has a unique ability to visualize and conceptually build a project from start to finish. His knowledge of building science, material specifications, methodologies, pricing, and construction scheduling ensures successful outcomes for his Upper Basin Excavating team. With a degree in civil engineering, Tim is able to apply practical education starting with the infrastructure of a project and continuing the attention to detail through every aspect of the vertical construction. As a LEED® Accredited Professional (AP), Tim is an authority on renewable and sustainable building technologies. Outside of the office, Tim can often be found on his boat in Lake Powell or on the river. He has floated throughout Colorado, Utah, and Wyoming.
